Kavanaugh Confirmation Response

This weekend the United States Senate voted to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court in the most problematic and flawed confirmation process in recent history. Never have we had a Supreme Court nominee who has demonstrated such partisanship and lack of objectivity.

Despite the majority of Americans being against Kavanaugh, the Senate voted against the will of the people in confirming him, ushering in an era of increased uncertainty.

It is becoming increasingly clear that current government is not representing the will of the people, and the future of our country hangs in the balance. It has never been more important to vote for politicians who will represent the will of the people.

This is why it is so important to vote in the upcoming elections, and to support organizations, like Gender Justice League doing important work to safeguard our rights.

Today, Monday October 8th, is the last day to register to vote online. If you can not do it today, the last day to register in person is Monday, October 29th.

For more information on how to register to vote please visit the Washington Secretary of State’s page on the Elections at https://www.sos.wa.gov/elections/register.aspx.
