About Us:
Gender Justice League is Washington State’s trans and gender-diverse civil and human rights organization.  Founded in 2012, Gender Justice League produces Trans Pride Seattle, the Gender Justice Awards, the Washington State Trans Leadership Summit, and is the state’s leading policy and advocacy organization focused on trans and gender-diverse people.  We also engage broadly in education, leadership development, and progressive coalition work. We are an explicitly trans feminist organization that is working to address racial, economic, disability, and social justice in our work and organization. Gender Justice League creates culture change through intersectional coalition-building across social movements to achieve lasting impact and justice for all people.  Currently, Gender Justice League has 11 board members and one full time staff – our Executive Director.

Working Environment:
Gender Justice League strives to create a radically inclusive, socially just, flexible, trauma-informed, and accessible workplace. Gender Justice League employees often work remotely, set their own office hours outside of core hours and meeting obligations. Our organization focuses on a highly collaborative organizational structure that emphasizes collective strategy, cross-role learning and teamwork, shared growth, and work across program areas. We are a small, start-up, grassroots organization, and our salaries reflect that fact however we seek to offset this by providing quality-of-life compensation.  We deeply value a work-life balance that emphasizes personal sustainability, community connections, and routinized self-care. Our staff, volunteers, and board are passion-driven and relationship focused.
